Besides being a native of Detroit, which known as the world’s musical fashion capital, Tamika often says that her love of fashion comes from a generation of fashionistas in her family, as both her mother and grandmother were fashion-savvy New Yorkers. Tamika has always loved shopping sprees and spent countless hours organizing her mother’s closet, where she developed her passion for personal styling. Tamika loves to show her clients all the techniques and guidelines; the importance of statement jewelry, the value of a belt, layering, print mixing, and color pairings.  Tamika also knows that it is essential that her clients know what is best for their body type and how as the stylist, she can help them overcome challenges and highlight assets, whatever they may be. As a woman, she thinks that insight into fashion and determining personal style is an instrumental part of feeling accomplished and being the best you can be.
